Crew List
Looking for another pair of hands to help you sail your two-person dinghy? Here’s a recent list of CBSA members looking for an opportunity to sail and/or race on different boats.
- David Sharpe: I've never owned a boat before, and my sailing experience is limited to three sailing courses in the last three years, and some occasional rentals. I'm interesting in racing for fun and skill-building, but mostly I just love being out on the water. My contact information is: email: This email address is being protected from spambots. - Tony Baker. Former Laser owner. Fair amount of dinghy and keel boat experience over the years, but very little racing. However, fit and keen to participate as crew and learn the ropes. - Oliver Scott: Minimal sailing experience as a kid in toppers and lasers but I'm physically fit and game to get stuck in, keen to learn and be involved in racing any which way possible. - Katie Thornton: I would love to get out in a double handed boat. I am currently looking to purchase one, but will take crewing for somebody as an added bonus. I used to be a level 3 (Red) Certified Sailing Instructor, and I raced Laser II's for the Ontario Sailing Team (a long time ago!) so I feel I'm pretty experienced, just out of practice and excited to get back on the water. - Chris Wyckham: Chris is an experienced recreational keel boat sailor (CYA Offshore Skipper, owner of a Haida 26), who has been racing as crew on a keel boat for one season. I'm eager to broaden my sailing horizons and learn more about boat balance and dynamics by racing dinghies. He’s fit, keen, and a very quick study. - Reina Fennell: Grew up on and around the water working with my dad who is a marine contractor and commercial scuba diver. Lots of outboard motor-boating experience through that and working for fishing lodges, as well as I have had my commercial Small Vessel Operators Permit since 2019. Young professional, new to Victoria, very limited sailing experience but I am a keen learner, physically fit and stoked on all things ocean-related. Would love to help crew a boat for pleasure or racing with someone willing to teach and excited to spread the sailing spirit ?. Interested in crewing aboard a Fireball, Enterprise, Taser, or other two-handed boat? Skippers are always in the market for new crew for racing, and may also be willing to provide instruction or boat demonstrations on non-racing days.
