COVID-related information (Mid-May 2020)
Recently the club executive met online to discuss CBSA’s plans for the weeks ahead. Our thoughts:
- CBSA organised sailing remains suspended until governments, medical authorities and members determine it is safe to resume. Many of our activities bring us too close together or involve high-contact surfaces.
- For the same reasons, the boathouse should remain closed.
- If visiting/using your boat, observe the distance rule and use soap and water to clean your hands and high-contact surfaces like the lock and the dolly handles.
- Please sail in good conditions (it’s not a great time to call out the rescue services).
- Our clubhouse (i.e., Smuggler’s Cove Pub) is open for takeout. To help them you can order online through their website: http://smugglerscovepub.com/
- The club receives Covid-19 related information from Saanich Parks and from Sail Canada. Saanich information may be read at: https://www.saanich.ca/EN/main/news-events/covid-19-information.html Sail Canada information may be read at: : https://www.sailing.ca/covid-19-updates/
